Kelci Makana Verdon, born in Atlanta, Georgia, is a queer Brooklyn-based artist who primarily works with experimental film photography, printmaking, poetry, video and music. Verdon got their BFA in photography from Pratt Institute in 2024 and is currently living, working and creating in Brooklyn, NY.
Verdon’s work opens a dialogue around the unseen, inviting viewers to pause and reflect amidst the noise of modern existence. They often photograph close friends and strangers, both in familiar and forgotten spaces, acknowledging the fleeting nature of impermanence. Verdon's work is often the result of allowing her subconscious, spirituality, and search for human connection speak through the work and from the process.
